This will be the second instance where the auction is held outside India. The BCCI conducted the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai last year. Mallika Sagar, who conducted the IPL 2024 auction in Jeddah and became the first female auctioneer, will also do the formalities this year. YuppTV brings all the live action from the much-anticipated IPL 2025 auction. Save the date, set the alarm, and get ready to watch it live.

Even after 17 years, the anticipation around the IPL auction is palpable. The franchises, team administrations, and cricket analysts couldn't control the buzz. Fans are buzzing with excitement to see which team will bid their favorite players. While over 1500 players have enlisted for the marquee event, the BCCI zeroed in on 574 players. 366 Indian and 208 abroad players are all set to go under the hammer.

England's recently retired legendary pacer, James Anderson, is likely to make his IPL debut. The 42-year-old fast bowler, who has never been a part of this extravaganza event, is the oldest player at the auctions. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, team India's U-19 member, is the youngest to go for the auctions.

While most of the teams have retained their top players, a few names, such as Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Mitchell Starc, Arshdeep Singh, and Jos Butler, got everyone's attention in this edition. The last few seasons witnessed fast bowlers and all-rounders becoming the most expensive players. KKR paid 25 Cr to Mitchell Starc, and SRH spent nearly 21 Cr on Pat Cummins.
